Mouser Electronics, Inc., the industry's leading New Product Introduction (NPI) distributor with the widest selection of semiconductors and electronic components™, is now stocking the BM15x Nordic nRF54L-based modules from Fanstel, built on Nordic Semiconductor's next-generation nRF54L15 system-on-chip (SoC). Designed for space- and power-constrained designs, the BM15x family helps engineers add more features, boost battery life, and reduce product size for smart sensors, wearables, asset trackers, and other advanced IoT devices.
The Fanstel BM15x series (BM15C, BM15E, BM15M), now available at Mouser, combines a 128 MHz Arm® Cortex®-M33 processor, up to 1.5 MB of Flash memory, and 256 KB of RAM with an ultra-low power multiprotocol 2.4 GHz radio. The modules can support multiple wireless standards — including Bluetooth® Low Energy, Bluetooth Mesh, Thread, Matter, Zigbee®, Amazon Sidewalk, and custom 2.4 GHz protocols — making it a flexible option for a wide range of IoT applications. Developers can choose between versions with a high-performance on-chip antenna for space savings or a u.FL connector for an external antenna when extra range is needed. The BM15x modules were developed to minimize the cost of printed circuit board (PCB) and maximize efficiency in the Bluetooth module production line. The modules also offer future-ready support for Bluetooth 6.0 features such as Bluetooth Channel Sounding.
The BMX15x series is supported by the EV-BM15x evaluation boards, also available from Mouser. The EV-BM15x boards allow users to evaluate the performance of the BM15x modules and test firmware before developing an application-specific host board. The EV-BM15x boards can be programmed using Nordic's nRF54L15 development kits to simplify and expedite projects.
