Coordinated by ApexBrasil, Brazil will serve as an official partner of the world's largest industrial trade fair and showcase advancements in innovation, decarbonization, digitalization, and clean energy—all amid one of the most favorable economic environments in recent years, with a record number of exhibiting companies and extensive collaboration between the government, industry, and research centers.

The Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil) is leading the effort to organize Brazil's participation as an official partner country at Hannover Messe 2026, the world's largest industrial trade fair. Brazil's presence at the event reflects a strategic decision by ApexBrasil's leadership, in line with the renewal of the country's industrial policy promoted by President Lula, who reestablished the Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade, and Services—now led by Vice President and Minister Geraldo Alckmin—and has placed industry back at the center of the national development strategy.

"Brazil arrives at Hannover Messe at a new juncture, with the revival of industrial policy led by President Lula and Vice President Geraldo Alckmin through Nova Indústria Brasil. Our goal is to present to the world a competitive, sustainable, and innovative country, capable of attracting investments and participating in the major technological transformations that are redefining global industry," emphasized ApexBrasil President Jorge Viana.

Two years ago, President Jorge Viana and Business Director Ana Repezza negotiated Brazil's participation as an official partner country at the fair. Since then, the ApexBrasil team has been working intensively, in coordination with the Brazilian Embassy in Berlin, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade, and Services, to transform this presence into a major showcase of the country's productive, innovative, and technological capabilities.

With the Nova Indústria Brasil program, implemented by the federal government and led by the Ministry of Industry and Foreign Trade, the country once again has a structured industrial policy guided by innovation, competitiveness, sustainability, and the strengthening of production chains. Brazilian industrial production grew by 3.1% in the program's first year, which calls for investments of R$ 300 billion by the end of 2026.

Brazil is establishing itself as one of the leading global powers in the energy transition and the decarbonization of the economy. About 90% of the country's electricity is generated from renewable sources, one of the cleanest energy mixes in the world, which offers a competitive advantage for low-carbon production chains and the establishment of sustainable industries. At the same time, the country holds the second-largest reserve of rare earth elements on the planet—minerals that are strategic for technologies such as electric vehicles, wind turbines, batteries, and semiconductors. The combination of abundant clean energy, critical natural resources, and industrial capacity positions Brazil as a strategic partner for international investments focused on innovation, decarbonization, and the development of a more sustainable global economy.

As the country establishes itself as a key player in the energy transition—driven by programs such as the NIB and structural reforms like tax reform—Brazil is experiencing one of the most favorable macroeconomic periods in recent years, with indicators that underscore its appeal to international businesses. Projected inflation for the 2023–2026 period is on track to be the lowest since the Real Plan, according to the Ministry of Finance, while the unemployment rate reached one of the lowest levels in the IBGE's historical series, at 5.1%, reflecting a robust labor market. At the same time, the Gini Index reached its lowest level since the start of the current series, signaling a reduction in inequality and an expansion of domestic consumption.

Against this backdrop of economic stability and progress on reforms, the country also stands out for its international confidence: according to data tracked by the Central Bank, Brazil has already ranked as the fourth-largest destination for foreign direct investment in the world, with inflows exceeding US$74 billion in a single year. At the same time, foreign trade has posted historic results, with recent export records and the largest trade surplus in the series, highlighting the competitiveness of the Brazilian economy and its strong integration into global production chains, which reinforces the country's position as a safe, competitive, and promising environment for global investments.

This combination of economic stability, job creation, structural reforms, and progress on the decarbonization agenda positions Brazil as a safe, competitive, and highly promising environment for investments and partnerships on the international stage.

The ApexBrasil board considered it essential for Brazil to participate in Hannover Messe as an official partner country, with record-breaking numbers. Brazil's six pavilions will feature more than 140 exhibiting companies and over 300 participating companies. The country will occupy an exhibition area of more than 2,700 m², divided into the following themed halls: Startups, Research & Hydrogen (Hall 11); Energy & Storage (Hall 12); Digitalization & Software (Hall 16); Industrial Solutions & Circular Economy (Hall 17); Automation, Robotics, AI & Digital Security (Hall 26); Components & Automation (Hall 27). The goal is to increase the international visibility of Brazilian industry and reinforce the country's position as a destination for investment, technology, and business.

The prospect of implementing the Mercosur–European Union agreement, currently in the final stages of ratification, adds another layer of opportunity to Brazil's participation by creating the world's largest integrated economic market, with over 700 million consumers and a combined GDP of approximately $22 trillion. This represents a strategic window to expand Brazilian industry's access to markets, investments, technology, and productive integration on a global scale.

As an Official Partner Country of Hannover Messe, Brazil presents itself to the world as a sustainable, innovative, and competitive industrial powerhouse. We combine the strength of our industry, the creativity of our startups, the excellence of our research centers, and the abundance of our clean energy mix to offer concrete solutions in digitalization, energy transition, decarbonization, and advanced manufacturing. From sustainable hydrogen to artificial intelligence applied to industry, from the circular economy to sustainable logistics, Brazil is a strategic partner for those who want to produce with efficiency, technology, and environmental responsibility.
