Connectivity for the age of AI starts at the design stage: In Hall A3, Stand 103, HARTING presents solutions for automation, robotics, semiconductor manufacturing and industrial electronics, including the world premiere of new PCB versions of the Han® MPC.

Espelkamp, 4 November 2026 --- The HARTING Technology Group, a leading global provider of industrial connectivity, will exhibit at electronica 2026 under the theme "Design Smarter. Source Globally. Connect for a Better Future." From 10 to 13 November in Munich, the company will show how the right connectivity reduces design debt across all Design for Excellence (DfX) dimensions, and how digital tools speed up development and prototyping.

To mark the start of the fair on 10 November, Philip Harting, Chairman of the Board and CEO of the HARTING Technology Group, will join other industry leaders at the electronica Opening Dialog to discuss trends and challenges facing the global electronics industry.

With artificial intelligence and energy efficiency as its key topics, this year's electronica reflects a clear shift in electronics development: away from optimising individual components and towards integrated systems. As a result, decisions taken early in the design phase carry more weight than ever, including the choice of interfaces for power, data and signals.

AI is moving from the data centre into machines, robots and drones. Wherever intelligence is added, the demands on the transmission of power, data and signals increase, and many of these requirements are determined early in development,” said Kurt Robert Hippler, VP Global Business Area Device at the HARTING Technology Group. “HARTING brings decades of experience from demanding industrial environments to these applications, from the infrastructure behind AI to the devices that put it to work”.

World premiere: Han® MPC in new PCB versions

At electronica, HARTING will unveil new PCB versions of the Han® Miniature Power Connector (MPC) as a world premiere, specially developed for humanoid robots and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). AI-driven autonomous functions are expanding the use of both, and in these applications size, weight and power are decisive design criteria. The Han® MPC combines low weight with high current-carrying capacity and transmits power and signals through a single mating face.

Design Smarter: less risk from the first prototype

HARTING supplies board-to-board and board-to-cable connectors for industrial automation, robotics and semiconductor manufacturing, built on long-standing expertise in DIN 41612. With the har-modular® PCB connector system, developers can configure their own solution online from a quantity of one. HARTING product configurators provide the required files and datasheets automatically. With its 3D MID technology, HARTING also integrates complex components directly into three-dimensional structures.

“Many of the costs and risks of a device are set long before series production begins,” said Rodriques Johnpeter, Global Market Segment Manager at the HARTING Technology Group. “The choice of connector determines how easily a device can be manufactured, tested, serviced and upgraded. With industrial-grade connectivity and digital design tools, we help developers reduce design debt from the very first prototype.”

Connectivity for AI infrastructure

AI is also placing new demands on power distribution in data centres. In October, HARTING joined the NVIDIA MGX ecosystem as a provider of power connectivity for AI data centres.

‍

Source Globally: a dependable partner

HARTING combines industrial-grade connectors with redundant manufacturing and a robust global distribution network, based on global engineering and vertically integrated manufacturing capabilities. This also applies to semiconductor manufacturing, which is represented in Munich by SEMICON Europa, taking place alongside electronica.

Connect for a Better Future: Single Pair Ethernet at the Electrical Connectors Forum

On 11 November, Kurt Robert Hippler will speak about Single Pair Ethernet at the Electrical Connectors Forum on the electronica Stage in Hall A5. Single Pair Ethernet transmits data from the sensor to the cloud over just one pair of wires, saving space and costs at the field level.

HARTING welcomes visitors to electronica 2026 from 10 to 13 November in Hall A3, Stand 103, Messe München. Free tickets: https://tickets.messe-muenchen.de/MM-SHOP/ELE26/Register?voucherCode=HARTING
