GP Korea, led by CEO Jo Youngbong, specializes in the manufacturing of high-end digital audio players with external processing (excluding LCD) and the bezel styling cases and bands for smartwatches.

CEO Jo Youngbong stated, "We focus on crafting the appearance demanded by suppliers of digital audio players that reproduce high-resolution Mastering Quality Sound (MQS). We employ materials such as stainless steel, copper, and titanium, which were previously exclusive to high-end watches.

"Stainless steel, known for its strong durability against the passage of time and changes in temperature, is a challenging material to process due to its hardness. GP Korea has successfully overcome these processing challenges through technical expertise and manufacturing know-how.

CEO Jo Youngbong mentioned, "Stainless steel, being a hard and brittle material, can lead to tool breakage during processing. To address this, we utilize dedicated tools that we manufacture ourselves. Additionally, through a jointly filed and registered patent with Dongguan GSP , we have introduced the 'ultra-precision casting method with minimized pinholes' to reduce CNC processing time, achieving higher customer satisfaction and securing continuous orders for new products."The rapid establishment of GP Korea in the Korean market was supported by its headquarters, Dongkwan GSP (GS Pricision). Headquartered in China, Dongkwan GSP emerged as an independent entity from the external business unit of Anam Watch Co., Ltd., a manufacturer of the 'Caritas' brand known for gift watches until the early 2000s. Currently, Dongkwan GSP specializes in processing and producing small precision components in the wristwatch case development and manufacturing sector.

Building on its accumulated technological expertise and business know-how, GP Korea plans to carve out a unique niche in the smartwatch band market.

CEO Jo stated that while currently supplying bezels and bands to major smartwatch accessory distributors, the company plans to establish its own platform and sales network based on new product releases this year.

A product signaling the entry into new business is a one-touch closure (Endpiece) structure band for smartwatches. CEO Jo highlighted, "Apple has introduced an integrated band for smartwatches, and Google has also launched a product with a band closure method without gaps." Anticipating an increasing demand for bands that not only complement the watch but also reflect user personalities and convenience in the smartwatch market, GP Korea aims to capitalize on this trend. In line with this, GP Korea has already filed a Chinese patent for closure technology suitable for smartwatch circular designs. CEO Jo mentioned exploring various materials such as silicone, woven fabric, leather, rubber, etc., for bands, catering to the diverse preferences of smartwatch consumers.

He acknowledged the challenges posed by domestic and international economic downturns, rising raw material prices, and logistics costs. However, he emphasized that despite certain areas experiencing growth constraints, the company has grown in specific business segments unaffected by these challenges. To counter the overall growth stagnation, GP Korea aims to expand its revenue and business scope through initiatives such as the pursuit of new business ventures.
