CIKARANG, INDONESIA - 12 September 2023 – In a groundbreaking development for the industries of energy, technology, and commerce, Korea Midland Power Co., Ltd. (KOMIPO), the Korea Association of Robot Industry (KAR), and the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry West Java (KADIN West Java) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at fostering innovation and cooperation in the dynamic city of Cikarang. This significant milestone was achieved during the Official Trade Mission, Jaringan Bisnis Indonesia-Korea: Cikarang Chapter, which served as an exemplary platform for business networking and fostering international partnerships.

The signing ceremony happened on September 12, 2023, at Nuanza Hotel in Cikarang. Esteemed representatives from each organization were present.

KOMIPO, represented by Mr. Han Suk Suh, Vice President, is a leading player in the energy sector, specializing in the development and operation of power generation facilities. With this MoU, KOMIPO expresses its commitment to exploring new avenues of energy efficiency and sustainability in collaboration with its counterparts in Cikarang.

KAR, represented by Mr. Jae Hwan Kim, Executive Director, is at the forefront of the robotics industry in South Korea. This MoU signifies KAR's eagerness to share technological advancements and contribute to the growth of the local robotics sector in .

KADIN West Java, with the representation of Mr. Yayat Supriatna Andhie as Mr. Cucu Sutara's delegate, is instrumental in driving the advancement of trade and industry in the region of West Java.Through this partnership, KADIN West Java seeks to foster stronger ties between local businesses and international enterprises, creating opportunities for mutual growth and development.

The signing of this MoU marks the beginning of a collaborative journey, with the three organizations pledging to work together on various initiatives, including research and development projects, knowledge sharing, and business partnerships.

In addition to the MoU signing, the Official Trade Mission, Jaringan Bisnis Indonesia-Korea: Cikarang Chapter, was a resounding success. The event witnessed active participation from 14 Korean companies and 29 Indonesian companies, all eager to explore new opportunities for collaboration. A total of 82 meetings took place, with a consultation amount of $40,836,000 USD and a contract progression amount of $3,748,000 USD.

At the event, Mr. Kwon Heechun from the Korea Institute of Cognitive Science gave a captivating presentation on the revolutionary applications of drone and robotic technology in both business and everyday life. He showcased the boundless potential of these cutting-edge technologies in the market.

The success of the event was further underscored by the signing of seven additional MoUs between various companies, reflecting the enthusiastic commitment to expanding business operations and strengthening partnerships.

The grand conclusion of this esteemed trade mission will take place in the magnificent Robotworld South Korea from the 11th to the 14th of October 2023. The biggest Robotic event in South Korea is expected to have over 200 exhibitors.
