VIGEL S.p.A. and MCM S.p.A. have announced the completion of the ownership transfer of MCM to MCM Manufacturing Technologies S.r.l., a subsidiary of the GENFIN holding group, which also controls VIGEL.

This strategic move reinforces GENFIN’s long-term vision of building a strong and diversified organization dedicated to advanced machining solutions for global industries. Both VIGEL and MCM are recognized leaders in the manufacturing technologies sector, and their integration will enhance the group’s technological capabilities and market reach.

Founded in 1947 in Turin and still family-owned, VIGEL is a pioneer in the design and production of multi-spindle machining centers. Today, the company operates manufacturing facilities in Italy, India, and China, supported by a global network of branches across Europe, the United States, Mexico, India, China, and Korea. Its portfolio includes machining centers, vertical lathes, and customized machine tools, particularly for the automotive industry.

Established in 1978 and based in Piacenza, MCM specializes in horizontal machining centers and flexible manufacturing systems managed by proprietary supervision software developed by its in-house IT division. MCM’s technologies serve multiple industrial sectors, with a strong presence in aerospace.

The acquisition will enable the group to offer a broader range of products and technologies, diversify its target markets, and strengthen operational synergies across sales, product development, manufacturing, and procurement. It also enhances the group’s global presence and strengthens its ability to support a larger and more diverse customer base.
