Quality Control Initiative of the Year: ZTE's SBA Quality Management Plan Shines in Project Delivery

In an ever-evolving landscape, maintaining a competitive edge has become paramount. Thai Company A embarked on a modernised and remodelled project with a focus on "construction safety, faster deployment, deeper coverage, and high-quality network." However, international engineering remodel projects are not without their challenges, including network complexity, exceeding network operations, inadequate team members, fast construction pace, various site distribution, and high-quality requirements.

ZTE's Project Team A took the lead in addressing these challenges with their innovative "SBA" quality control mode, integrating the risk library to identify key control points (S), conducting best practices workshops to enhance team skills (B), and employing AI-based tools for real-time inspections (A).

It successfully utilised the Risk Map, which played a crucial role in identifying critical project risks, enabling the implementation of proactive mitigation measures. Moreover, the integration of project localisation tools significantly improved both efficiency and quality, reducing time consumption to a mere 17% of manual methods whilst maintaining a remarkable 100% accuracy rate.

Additionally, the implementation of AI inspection systems led to a remarkable increase in accuracy, reaching an impressive 99.3%, and a substantial improvement in real-time performance, achieving an outstanding 98%.

As a direct result of these successful initiatives, ZTE not only exceeded its project milestones but also achieved its goals one month ahead of the planned timeline. Furthermore, ZTE's dedication to network quality was reaffirmed by ranking first in third-party evaluations, solidifying the company's reputation as an industry leader and innovator.

Workforce Transformation of the Year: Oncloud Learning Program Empowers Digital and Intelligent Communication Network Deployment

ZTE's Oncloud Learning Program stands out as a beacon of innovation in the realm of workforce transformation. This programme adopts a scenario-based approach, breaking down work scenarios into learning units at three levels: business process, delivery phase, and business activities. On digital cloud platforms, it supports a comprehensive training-practice-combined approach, encompassing preview -> exercise -> rehearsal -> practice

The Oncloud Learning Program has been implemented in over 100 countries, with a particular focus on the Asia Pacific region, where it has contributed to the development of 590 local employees each year. Additionally, the programme has made remarkable strides in improving on-site independent completion rates for high-challenge operations, as exemplified by a 38% increase in Thailand.

This achievement garnered praise from the customer, which reduced the network deployment acceptance period by 49%. Notably, ZTE's Oncloud Learning Program received the prestigious Beacon Award in the 2022 CSTD Learning Design Contest, obtaining the highest recognition in the field and earning unanimous acclaim from capability development experts in China.

In the digital and intelligent era of communication network construction, this programme provides an effective scenario-based and digital empowerment solution, enabling employee capability improvement and behaviour transformation, ultimately facilitating the digital and intelligent transformation of services.
